WORKSHOPS and CAMPS
Art Camp
Art Camp is offered in partnership with SDAK to give students an opportunity for a full day camp but it is also offered independently from 1pm-4pm Monday through Friday at Art Scōl location.
Just like in our regular art classes camps aren’t based on group projects, instead, we work with each student individually, according to their level and skills. In 3 hrs, each day students will be working with all 2D art media: pencil drawing, color pencils, watercolors, oil and dry pastels, pen and ink, watercolor etc...

Linoleum Block Printing Workshop with Omar Montaño
Create illustrations with the old tradition of printmaking. This workshop is designed to teach the process of transferring a drawing onto a soft linoleum block for carving. When inked, the carved block reproduces the drawing. Imagine an ancient copy machine! Students will also get to experiment with the ink colors and change the overall effect of the image they reproduce.
When: TBD
Who: kids and parents, any age welcome!
Where: Art Scōl
Time: TBD
Workshop fee: $$$ (printing block, ink, paper and tools for use are included)
From Omar:
Born and raised in San Diego’s South Bay, I had to go away to San Francisco to master my craft. I have had the privilege of teaching Drawing, Design and Art Appreciation courses at Cuyamaca and Miramar colleges since my return to San Diego in the spring of 2013.
